My Story

My clients describe me as supportive, insightful, thought provoking and an intuitive listener. My aim is to offer a safe, confidential, open environment where my clients can overcome barriers, explore options, recognise their strengths and create a positive plan to move forward. As a natural communicator I find it easy to build rapport and my curiosity and instinct for what people are feeling helps me to ask questions to get the best outcomes for my clients.

With an extensive operational background as a senior manager people development has always been at the forefront of my career with responsibility for coaching, mentoring and developing individuals from all levels of the organisation which ensures a realistic appreciation of the business world that you operate in.

My passion for people spurred me to return to part time study which gained me a Masters in Human Resource Management and this left me with a thirst for more! Supporting the growth of a coaching culture within the company I was working for illustrated how it helped people grow both personally and professionally. The personal satisfaction at seeing my clients find their “Eureka” moment was huge and motivated me to learn more.

Enthused by the concept I continued studying and attained Coaching Accreditation and then in 2015 successfully completed the Institute of Leadership and Management Level7 (ILM7) Executive Coaching and Mentoring which really illustrated the power of these constructs.

Training over 500 management in the foundations of coaching to assist their business growth, plus one to one personal and business coaching, graduate coaching supporting them through all steps of their programme into role. I also work with the Princes Trust mentoring young people in their goa of turning their business ideas into reality.

My desire to make a difference to people and help facilitate behavioural change for them galvanised my resolve and GJW Coaching was born.

As a member of the Association of Coaches I adhere to their Ethics and Codes of Practise and complete Continuous Personal Development and Supervision to enhance my own growth, self-awareness and to keep abreast of new constructs.

As you would expect I operate with a high personal level of integrity, trust and confidentiality.
